1999
Chardonnay

Tasting Notes
This wine exhibits complex peachy fruit on the nose and is well - balanced with the French oak and yeast characters. The palate has freshness and good Chardonnay weight from start to finish. The cool night harvesting has retained these tropical peach flavours and ageing on yeast lees has contributed a creamy texture and complexity.

1999
Verdelho
Tasting Notes
The Broke Fordwich sub-region of the Hunter Valley is rapidly becoming known for the quality of its’ Verdelho. Our Verdelho exhibits an intense tropical fruit nose with guava and lime. The palate is soft and rounded, with intense sweet fruit and spice - the classic varietal character of Verdelho. The palate is balanced with the contributions of three separate Vineyard blocks complementing each other. Small berries and ripe fruit have given this wine its opulence.

1999
Cabernet Merlot

Tasting Notes
A cool growing season has resulted in our 1999 Estate grown Cabernet Merlot being a wine with a touch of herbaceousness and ripe sticky tannins. It exhibits a very intense colour, and nose of deep plums and cherries. The cedary oak really lifts the deep berry fruits of the palate and this oak carries the rich weight through to a toasty bacon finish. This will age to be a classic Hunter red.

2000 Merlot Tasting Notes
This wine displays a deep red colour which is indicative of a year of long cool ‘sunshine hours’. A bouquet highlighted with spice and rich blackberry undertones complements the rich, earthy depth of character of the wine. Herbal top notes and plums fill out the palate, with sticky tannins framing and lengthening the wine.
This is a wine for Merlot lovers to look out for.
